That's an incredibly disappointing lineup. And Nathan Eccleston FFS of all the good youth players...

Glad to see Flanagan starting again. Think he has more chance of being a future RB than Kelly.

Worry Kelly's injury record will count against him and think Flanagan is much better on the ball. Maybe Kelly might make it in the less demanding role of CB.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                Both very good points.

He really seems to be injury prone and I also think that we may be seeing the gradual switch of Kelly into the role of CB over time as I do not think RB position is his future either.

I really, really hope that the British is best policy doesn't apply to the youth team as well........

Man, I'm 90% sure that Eccleston will come on but not Sterling.

Ecclestone's looked well below the standard when ive seen him. And Maxi's constant non-inclusion is beyond baffling.

                          Where is Matt?

I think many would agree with him that today's lineup and bench are so underwhelming.

I think it's a rather balanced line-up, with an eye on the attack.

As for the Carroll omission, who knows ... very odd and quite frustrating.

I cannot see that being the case.

If he gets the nod before Carroll that would be the end of Andy under Kenny's realm.

I think the only way either of the kids gets on is if we've got the game well and truly secured - and how often does that ever happen nowadays?
