Being behind the goal at Pride Park when he LASHED a fearsome finish into the top locker to claim his hat-trick in a brilliant 4-0 win.

Defo Roma at home when GH came back after his illness. The Italians simply couldn't cope with his power & pace. At his very best Heskey was an awesome player. Trouble was we only ever saw it twice, against roma & against Bayern Munich in the SuperCup. both games he was unplayable. Trouble was all too often he was a shadow of that player & truth be told he lacked the mental strength to be an LFC player.

Can't believe I forgot that. What a night that was. He was IMMENSE that night, and one of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced at Anfield too.

Not my best ever, but certainly the funniest.

I was watching LFC vrs Chelsea about 6 years ago in a pub with my best mate (a SCUM supporter).

A corner is about to be taken, there is a minor (and I mean minor) scuffle on the goal line.

Emilie is shown a red card.

TV replays showed he aimed a kick at a Chelsea defender ....

          And missed

Haha I remember that. Heskey and Gallas wasn't it? Or Bogarde. One of the two. Can't have been Bogarde in fact...he never played!

When i seen this thread i automatically thought of that deft lob over the keep in Monaco. I actually thought at that precise moment. Hold on we may have a player here

I'm pretty certain it was Bogarde. Didn't Murphy score the winner that night in a 2-1 win?

Playing & scoring for England in the 5-1 win actually, with Owen bagging a hat-trick & SG getting the other.

That goal in Monaco against Bayern, which promised so much for the future, alas most of what was promised never materialised.

it's the one froma few years ago, think it was a league cup match -v- blackburn, we got a pen and heskey stepped up to take it. If he scored it would have been a hattrick-but he missed. That match summed Bruno up perfectly.

Also his goal celebrations (the DJ one) always brings a smile to my face.

there aint many, but thatis mine
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                          * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I most remember his last minute goal against Arseanl at the Kop(i think) to earn us a 1-1 draw and Arsenal were flying then.
                            Bullet header.

might have been 2-2 (think Jari scored for us) remember watching that one down the snooker hall with my mate, I went bonkers when Bruno bagged his goal.
