RvP, RVN and Drogba played here for years and proved themselves over time - Cisse hasnt.

And the point still remains, if 6 months of PL football isnt enough to suggest a player is good enough for us, how can a few games be enough?

You must surely see my logic here?

As I said in my previous post many players come to this league and hit the ground running right away from the inferior leagues (Drogba 16 goals, RVP 10 goals and RVN 32 goals in their first season) and as the numbers show so far you can say the same thing for Cisse regardless of how long he has been here.

I am familiar with his skills from Bundesliga days, which in terms of quality is much better than Eredivisie, and to me it is not surprise that he is doing good and his production in PL so far seems to be good indication of his talent.

My point in terms of 6 months and Carroll is that we didn't pay 10-15m for a new comer to PL like Cisse is, but 35m and that is terrible business decision which is becoming more and more obvious as Kenny who bought him doesn't give him much playing time.

Jesus Christ, I never said anything of the sort. I've just said that in the time that Dalglish has had, he hasn't showed that he is going to take this team in the right direction. The form and performances this year have been disgraceful and he needs to address this. If he doesn't feel he can turn things around I'd prefer (and like to think) he stepped down with dignity intact.

I certainly wouldn't call our performances this year disgraceful.

Unless you're talking the calendar year, in which case ... as you were.

With regards to your other sweeping generalisation about "I guess you prefer mid table/top half finishes and domestic cups than top 4 finishes and being a genuine European contender." that would also be incorrect, I want it all for LFC, but happen to think one leads on to another.

We should have ****ed up the cups and settled for 4th. Most people would have been happy.

I'd be happy with that and see it as genuine progress.

I think everyone can see how well we can play when we're on song. We just need to be more consistent and that is precisely why we have been **** in the league. We haven't been consistent enough.
