seem to remember Ablett more as a centre back who came through as Hansen and Gillespie aged. Beglin was first choice left back during his time wasn't he?

Just check on LFC.TV you can pull down the fixtures and team lists
Look at 87-88 from about March onwards Ablett is clearly being played at leftback
If you want visual evidence go into youtube type Liverpool 88 and then Forest 5-0, Forest FA Cup, Man United 3-3 or Wimbledon final
