We'll win this as Newcastle are missing Coloccini and their centre-backs are just awful.

Their style of football is very direct which I think our players are more accustomed to that. When teams get the ball down and play, they don't deal with it.

    Not worried about this one.

Newcastle are playing well and at home and this is very tough game for us.

Hopefully Kenny will give a chance to some players like Shelvey and Coates and possibly Flanagan to get more playing time as we really don't have much to play for.

we have loads to play for - every position in the league is half a million sheets in prize-spondulas.......2 or 3 million could be the difference between signing a Muniain or another Jermaine fockin Pennant..........

I didn't know that Collocini was out - feeling confident with Luis against the likes of Williamson and Perch.......

I fancy us to win to be honest - the players will not have had a game for 8 days and should be fresh......

On current form, a draw I think, at best.

Carroll NEEDS to start. He'd be up for it in his first match back at the Saint Sports Direct Mike Ashley Superdrome...or whatever they're calling it these days!

Too much smiling in training pics = defeat

                    Yup.

From now on I want training to resemble a Siberian Gulag.

Just watched the highlights of our 5-1 win in Xmas 08 & I have to say that our current squad can't hold candle to that team!
Not looking forward to more torture from our over-paid average dross on Sunday...

I'd start Carroll, Coates and Shelvey and give some minutes to Sterling as well.

                          I would bench Henderson too.

Good shout. I'd start all three and drop Henderson, Carragher and Kuyt. Big test for the team. Newcastle are playing well and will be dangerous with Ba and Cisse. Hopefully young Sterling get's some minutes,

                              Reina
                              Kelly Skrtel Coates Enrique
                              Henderson Gerrard Maxi
                              Suarez Carroll Downing

Flano at right back if Kelly or Johnson arent fit.
Gerrard to sit as the deepest midfielder, he can do it with his eyes closed, its just if he wants to. Let Henderson and Maxi break from midfield, Suarez and Downing to roam off Carroll.

Sterling on the bench again to hopefully get 20 odd minutes or so at the end
