Tinker me this tinker me that

Rafa Benitez will leave several senior players on Merseyside for the trip to St Andrews on Wednesday, though Craig Bellamy could feature after recovering from a calf injury.
Steven Gerrard, Sami Hyypia, Pepe Reina and Luis Garcia are among those who will not play in the Carling Cup tie against Birmingham.

The Liverpool manager revealed Jerzy Dudek will make his first start of the campaign, while Daniel Agger, Dirk Kuyt, Xabi Alonso, Momo Sissoko, Mark Gonzalez, Jamie Carragher and Jermaine Pennant will also appear at some stage.

"We cannot use the same players for the whole season," said Benitez.

"For this game we will have a lot of senior players, some young lads also but I think it will be a strong squad."

Bellamy could return after missing the last five games, while Robbie Fowler is also in contention.

    ......so

    Dudek
    Finnan/Peltier Carra Agger Riise/Warnock
    Pennant Alonso Momo Speedy
    Bellamy/Kuyt Fowler

    probably. Should be strong enough.

id like to see anderson, Linfield, and a couple of other tallented youngsters making an appearance at some stage, what will they be thinking if they are overlooked this season in the league cup.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Kuyt is featuring a lot. Idve thought Fowler and Bellers plus another reserve striker wouldve been enough. Kuyt is boss tho.
Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

Gotta be Bellamy (fitness permitting) and Fowler up front. I know that much.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I have no idea what team Rafa will pick but here's an uneducated guess:

            Dudek
            Peltier
            Paletta
            Agger
            Warnock
            Pennant
            Zenden
            Momo
            Gonzales
            Bellamy
            Fowler

That team should be good enough to win IMO.

I think that back line is too inexperienced, I would expect Carra to feature instead of Paletta or Agger. Asside from that, that looks pretty much spot on I think.

I think you're right Morph. I'd like to see Paletta get some playing time though, perhaps Rafa will play him at Right Back as he did in pre-season.

Wouldn't be too surprised to see a backline of Agger-Carra-Palletta-Peltier.

With Agger on the left and Peltier on the right?

Is Guthrie playing as I thought he did well last round.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure what Peltiers attacking ability is like but something like this might not be bad. I don't expect to see it mind, just a thought.
