Sky are suggesting that that's the right decision under the rules
Nah sorry, it doesnt matter that they benefitted from the rules not being enforced. It's our fault, not the ref or linesman's.....

They could have kicked our players in the head & got away with it - and it still wouldnt have mattered.

    Etc...

Terrible dive, should have just pulled the trigger, if he misses he misses.

I was thinking the same, does he actually appeal for a pen? - as that's the only thing that would make it a dive rather than a fall.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

And that is exactly what I don't get.

Why look for the penalty first.

            Why not try to score.

            That is his ****ing job..

            Very disappointed by that dive.

It was a poor decision, but we need to take responsibility for our own performance which, to a man wasn't good enough to win today.

Its hard to swallow when we have straws to clutch at but, we're so poor it hurts.

If's and buts though Craig - the pen wasn't given wrongly obviously, but we need to be winning games without relying on the officials getting things right like that.

We're just simply not getting the results and the whole sorry lot of them need to get their heads down and work at changing things around

                  **** me!

Do you think, with us in the ascendency, 1-0 up and an extra player, the rest of the game would've still turned out the same???

Seriously mate, it's 1st April but you're pushing it somewhat

your feelings are not important mate, sorry no disrespect, but the future success of our club far out weighs your personal feelings towards certain managers.

So taking into account going 1-0 up, the boost in confidence AND the fact that we'd have been playing against 10, it's fair to say we'd have been far more likely to win the game than not.
                      I do agree with that.

It just seems our problems are pretty deep routed right now. The run we are on is appalling, and any manager of any team with any standing legend or no has to defend it. I feel for Kenny, this is the worst possible scenario after he took charge. And I don't know what the answer is, but change seems inevitable as we are losing to everyone.

Yeah, but if they hadn't scored the two goals and if we scored one, we would've won the game. It's all about ifs, ifs, ifs...can't you see it?

Newcastle have played a better 11 players than our 11 players. They won, so what. We have a mid table team. Wake the **** up.

Quite possibly. My point is, had the decisions been made properly, we'd have most likely not been in the same situation that we ended up in.

Our heads dropped, confidence sapped away and people lost hope. None of which would've likely happened, had we gone 1-0 up against 10 men.

What part of that is so complicated to understand? Circumstances dictate, goals make a difference, sending-offs impact on how the game goes etc.

If Atkinson had done his job, we would have been ahead, a man up and in control - and none of the head-dropping ****e would've happened.

He's definitely looking at the ball and there is a possible floor kick with the right foot too. The other angle would be good to see it from. Not that it particularly matters in the grand scheme of it all.
