Well that's your opinion, mine differs.

It's galling that the ref's ineptitude means we'll never find out.

Let's face it, until we went behind, we were easily better than them. We go 1-0 down and it ****ed us. Rightly or wrongly, but it did.

Hence, if the ref doesnt **** up, we dont go 1-0 down. Everything follows from there.

The bottom line is we were ****.

Really ****. If uncle roy was in charge would we be trying to make excuses for a truly woeful performance?

We had plenty of time to come back into that game after the ref ****ed that up. But we didn't. We were ****ing ****.
Depends on what you call bleating about it - people are going ape**** about why we lost and for me, the defining reason was the referee making a game-defining wrong decision.

For some reason, Liverpool fans prefer to vent their fury at Kenny, rather than Atkinson.

Our heads dropped, confidence sapped away and people lost hope. None of which would've likely happened, had we gone 1-0 up against 10 men.

What part of that is so complicated to understand? Circumstances dictate, goals make a difference, sending-offs impact on how the game goes etc.

If Atkinson had done his job, we would have been ahead, a man up and in control - and none of the head-dropping ****e would've happened.
Craig, I admire your loyalty, but in answer to your suggestion that a one goal lead against a team clearly superior to ours would have made it likely that we would win, can I refer you back to the QPR game? The fact is that the team's confidence is shot, and I doubt that we could defend a one goal lead against anyone right now.

Things are about as bad as I've seen them in 20 years. We have a substandard squad, toothless in front of goal, entirely bereft of confidence. The Carling Cup is a sticking plaster on a gaping wound, frankly.

Fundamental change is needed at every level of the club (below the owners). We can't keep patching things up, because it isn't working. Kenny is not, IMHO, the right person to take the club forward in the medium to long term.
