I have sympathy for fans who kinda seem take a perverse pleasure in us losing hastening Kenny's potential departure - I don't think it's actually enjoying us losing though. I think it's the frustration that all LFC fans have been feeling for years now - alleviated a bit during Rafa's time - and the desire just for something to ****in happen, something cathartic, something that will kickstart us again as a force in the league.

We've been the victims of awful luck - getting what we now know to have been a probable league-winning manager in Rafa at the same time as a change to owners who were upended by the credit crunch (this did happen by the way; it wasn't some conspiracy against us) but were opportunistic cunts anyway followd by the bizarre mixed bag that was Purslow who knew enough business-wise to help get rid of H&G but so catastrophically overrated his football knowledge that he sacked Rafa and appointed Hodgson and, as Dion Fanning rightly pointed out today, that single appointment changed us ambition and vision-wise into something in need of remedial help. And we went back in time to get that remedial help which worked amazingly at first and is now in freefall.

I don't blame any fan for not ****in knowing what he/she wants for LFC at this time. I certainly don't. I want Kenny here next season to prove everyone wrong and be the man who knocks Ferguson off his ****in perch. But I also want him gone in the morning and Rafa back. But i don't want Rafa back because it's that word "back" again and I want us to move on and create a new glory era from scratch. So I want Klopp or AVB or Rijkaard and I promise I will give him 3 years at least to start afresh and I'll put up with the rebuilding and alarming results and performances knwoing that we have to stick with the new guy and give him time. Except I probably won't.

To be honest you'd have to ask whether we'd be able to attract Klopp if we did need a new manager.
German teams tend to have great crowds.

most teams have attendances close to their max and their ticket prices are far better than ours.

Excellent post. Its a tricky time for us. But the run we are on is not sustainable. I wish it was anyone than Kenny to be managing us on such a miserable run, but it is him. He will know what has gone on isn't good enough. We invested heavily in the squad and it is taking them a while to deliver, so long that in some cases we wonder if they will deliver, and that uncertainty drives us to want change. Change of fortune or change of manager, who knows but we cannot keep things as they are. We are getting beaten by run of the mill teams of journeymen. Not world class XI's the players should be embarassed, and as they are assembled and trained by Kenny so should he, and I am sure he is.

I guess we have to trust FSG to make the right decision, I worry as they have no track record in football. And at the same time I am reassured as they are winners. I do hope they drop the Moneyball system of scouting though. It may work in a stat heavy game like baseball which is based on repetitive instances of play. But in a free flowing game like football, I don't think Moneyball or sabremetrics is the answer. trusting it so heavily may well have been theirs, Kenny's and Comolli's first mistake. You can trust Downing to deliver at Villa, but the step up is an ask. Same with Adam, same with Carroll, same with Henderson. They may come good next season but the signs are not obvious.

Not strengthening in January has cost us very dearly.
              Carra playing costs us dearly.
              Spearing playing costs us dearly.

If i was Coates i'd be angling to leave in the summer, 3rd choice behind Skrtel and Agger is one thing, playing second fiddle to Carra who offers absolutely nothing anymore is ridiculous

To be fair some fans, or me at least, were quite clear on Dalglish's legendary status for us but also the inability as a decent manager in the last 20 or so years. I wanted AVB before he went to Chelsea and certainly want him now. Rafa would be a backward step and unnecessary.

And I would give AVB 2/3 years before any form of judgement on his ability. Promise. I gave Konchesky and Hodgson a fairer crack than most on here despite their obvious failings so AVB stands a good chance in my corner.

One thing is for sure, nothing can change Kennys fully deserved legendary status.

                  Nothing.

And those who deny that status should be banned.

Andy's dive was terrible but Ben Arfa's wasn't any better and he got away without getting a booking.

Made couple GIFs of that moment
