I see this post-match thread is much longer than normal, about the size of the total carling cup post match I think, so I take it the complaining and name-calling reached new heights! :P

Don't have time to go through all the pages of yesterday, so here is just a few words on it from my POV and perhaps some repeats.

- We were poor from the minute we got behind yesterday
-- The complete lack of confidence, leadership and determination in the team showed it well
- We need better players mentaly and a broader squad to deal with injuries (Lucas, Gerrard etc.) and suspensions (Suarez etc.)
- Can't think of 1 player having a good game yesterday, all were pretty ****.
- We still can't take any chances - best examples yesterday was Skrtel header from 2m and Suarez sitter from the same distance - we need 1-2 strikers that can finish!
- We do not have enough intelligent players to play the system Kenny is trying to implement, with a few noticeable exceptions.

Two more things I forgot to say: 1) Pepe made a rare stupidity yesterday, but non the less stupid and looks like the real expression of the frustration in the squad right now. 2) Newcastles players showed the determination and willingness to fight for a result and eachother that so many of our players fail to show - and need to show!

Very good player but a total cunt, what with his dive yesterday and his cheap tackle on Spearing (or whoever it was) last time we played them

A dive is a dive.

This was as bad as Andy's and he deserved yellow just like Andy got one.

The issue I have is that Andy should have put the ball in the back of the net, or attempted to. Couldn't give a **** if it's a booking or not.

Hes done a few snide tackles and a couple of dives

I sometimes struggle to comprehend why players of his ability find the need to do what they do

It devalues all the other work they do

Hes a lucky boy though Cabaye 2 or 3 times hes been lucky to escape red cards for dreadfully sly tackles

I actually think that Benitez would get the best out of Andy Carroll - in the same way he did out of Crouch, Mista etc........ if LFC sell Carroll, i can totally see him coming back to being great at a club like Spurs........


I reckon we should judge Kenny at the end of this season to be honest. If we lose the next 7 games and are hockied by Everton in the cup, then he can't stay to be honest. No matter who is in charge, we are going to need to spend, say £50m lids in the summer and unless we see drastic performance increase, there is no way the club can trust Kenny / Commoli / Whoever (the current set-up) with those spondulas.......

I would like to see Spearing and Henderson play in the middle of the park for the rest of the season. With Downing on the left and Gerrard on the right. With Carroll up front for every minute of every game - no matter how ****e he is playing. Tell Downing and Stevie to never be more than 5 yards away from the byline and basically just get the ball out wide and let those 2 whip them in for Andy as much as they can. Basically that is the only game plan, whether we are winning, losing or drawing - get the ball wide and whip it into the big lump in the box - Luis can feed off any of the scraps......

And then if he is still ****e at the end of the season, tell him to fock off back to Geordieland or wherever the fock he wants.....

I've changed my mind

I'd consider putting Carragher in there I really would

But first I'd try Coates at centrehalf and then maybe going to 5 at the back if that didnt work but as a last resort I might be tempted to stick Carragehr in there

The thing is we've tried lots of permutations in midfield over the last few weeks and none of them have worked so it suggests none of the current lot are capable of doing the job so a different solution has to be considered

We tried that against the Mancs at home & Carra was shocking - there really are no other options; huge oversight by Kenny in not getting a replacement for Lucas....

Agger has the technical ability maybe.....?
