You serious? We lose lucas and our midfield is ****ed, we have no other holding midfield, we have no quality to compete with Gerrard, we lack players for worthwhile tactical variation. We have 2 good midfielders in the team and one of them is way off form, the other injured and hence we have such an exposed defence.

Those players are a big miss but two things

Firstly you are putting Carragher into the back four, hes absolutely finished imo and has become a liability.

Secondly Henderson, Spearing, Shelvey none of them are capable of doing that holding role

In essence we are playing with 9 men at times because those two positions are just ineffective
