Dalglish was also frustrated that Suarez was booked for diving when replays showed he was clearly fouled by Stephen Ireland.

"What chance have we got?" he said.

"Even Suarez's booking, the guy trod on him.

"You can imagine the headlines tomorrow when he's been booked for diving but the guy's actually trodden on him. He's lucky he's not broke his foot.
Good to hear that from Kenny........I suppose he's fully supportive of the ref not giving Villa a peno for Carruthers yellow card dive in the 2nd half.
There was contact there as well.

It wasn't the officials that cost us points today.

Maybe the Wizard of Oz may though

Give him a brain, a heart and some courage (some pace would also be very appreciated)
        We come not to play.

But why wasn't Carroll started? Weare playing against the tea that can't defend corners / crosses and we drop a player that can actually do something in the air....

I think Kenny isn't the man to take us forward either.....

Rafa would make Carroll a half-decent player (Stevie ****in Wonder can see he is never going to be a 35m player) - he did it with Crouch.....with Mista.....
Agger looked far more dangerous in his cameo than Carroll (says it all really)
          We come not to play.

Suarez wasn't and isn't a 30 goal a season man, and I still don't think he was bought to be one. He was bought to aid Torres, and that is the exact type of player he needs with him up front now.

We are relying on him to lead a line when that is really not his role, look at how successful he is with Uruguay when he has Cavani and Forlan to play with
            .
I made that very same point multiple times in the past.

That said having a better striker is not enough as we need some serious reinforcements in the midfield and in wide positions.

You can see today (and many times in the past) how deep he needed to drop to get the ball and that is where he loses his effectiveness as his game is not based on taking the ball, dribbling and running for 30-35 yards.

He works great in tight places and he needs support high up in and around box. We just don't use him as effectively as we should our midfield sucks big time.

Without significant midfield and wide options improvements, Luis and the new guy will be isolated as it is the case with Luis atm.

              WTF.

Thats right though and JC spent his entire management career trying to get any one of his disciples to play as a traditional number 9 for his Galilee XI Jerusalem Sunday League team.

The post game interview from Kenny, sounded like I've heard it a few times before.

I'm sad for not having achieved the win. Now is important that we continue to relying on this team.

One thing that still makes me laugh with Kenny.

Who is this 'Louise' that plays for us..? She sounds decent, always in the thick of things.

The reason I believe he has been criticised so much this season is down to the way that Kenny has played him, he is not a right midfielder and is without a doubt a square peg in a round hole out there. And he drifts infield because that is his natural position.

He also has next to zero confidence in his ability, now this could be down to a number of reasons but the main thing is he will either pass sidewards or backwards, every time sidewards or backwards, there have been occasions where he could shoot and decides not too and ends up losing the ball anyway. I think this is down to the fact that he has little faith in his ability.

I don't really think he is defensively sound either. He's not a worker like Lucas and doesn't really hassle and press players, he waits for the opposing team to come to him, and often makes fouls

I'm not saying Shelveys perfect - far from it, and its clear that they both play different positions but I've seen more encouraging things from Jonjo then I have from Henderson, and I think a lot of it is down to bottle and mentality and not having that fear of failing.

Shelvey is twice the player Henderson is. Henderson gets the ball and it's a sideways pass or some woeful decision making. He was rubbish today, the reason we got better today was certainly because Gerrard came into the centre, but that was nothing to do with Henderson. The lads hides, and makes poor decisions. At least Shelvey gets on the ball and plays positive forward passes. I was surprised when he was withdrawn, but I have a lot of hope for him.

As for Stewart ****ing Downing... he can just **** off in the summer. He whipped in two decent crosses all game but apart from that just went missing as he has all season. Enrique seems to do his job so I'm not sure why we need him.

Today showed how much we miss Agger. Immense when he came on. Hopefully the Agger-Skrtel partnership is restored Tuesday. Carra is done. Its hard to criticise Carroll as he only had a couple of minutes, but it's incredible how poor a header of the ball he is. That chance was begging to be put back across goal and he put it straight at Given.

Dirk is another one who needs to be put out to pasture.

I think Kenny will get it right in the summer. A couple of good wingers, the poacher that should have been bought in January and we'll be in better shape next season.

But Carra, Kuyt, Henderson, Downing, Carroll should not be starters in next seasons Liverpool.
