Those who can't be arsed of course. Too many mentally weak players, too many average players and not enough quality all round. After the optimism from this time last year, this feels awful.

Shelvey showed his positional naivety today, leaving Henderson isolated. Henderson looked timid and was more reactive than proactive.

I've said for a few weeks that non of the available combinations of central midfielders offer enough protection for the back four

        Today reinforced that even more

Kenny has to take responsibility for not bringing in back up/short term replacement for Lucas

Major major mistake as is not bringing in a striker in January

We are quite literally ****ing dire in front of goal

So, who all do you want sold and how do you guarantee that the new players that come in are mentally strong? It happens once in a while. Just give it time and let it go.

Personally, I'd sell Downing and Adam, but I'd want to keep Henderson and Carroll.

I am sure he will officially not be 'sacked' more moved aside. It is a horrible situation for the Icon of our club to find himself in.

From what I have seen of JWH and FSG, they act with dignity. This season has not gone well really, a lot of investment and if anything we are more lost and further behind than we were this time a season ago. The top teams in the league are vanishing out of sight.

A ****e state of affairs all round really.

However, I ask you one thing. What would be the point of him going right now? The season is over in the league, the prize money thing between 7th and say 10th is minor in the grand scheme of things. And he deserves the chance to win the FA cup, we've a good record in knockout games this year. And there are no obvious candidates around the club to take over. Steve Clarke?
Do you know what Michael, if we lose to Blackburn and Everton I would not be surprised in the slightest if Kenny resigned before the end of the season. It's getting ridiculous now.

Once in a while! It has been too often this season, we have a 34% win ratio in the league, worse than Hodgson.

I wouldn't mind losing all of them, none are in any way good enough and Carroll lacks the basics to be a good player at the top level and Henderson has imo the wrong mentality.

does he or were his hands tied? he's too classy to say the owners won't give us any cash. if it was kennys choice, then he ****ed up big time. Yet we don't know for sure.

We lack tactical awareness. The players and coaching staff need to take responsibility for this.

I actually find it hard to believe, anyone could imagine Henderson-Shelvey would work, maybe against absolute no marks but we needed a Spearing in there no matter how badly he's playing. Criminal we didn't buy a replacement for Lucas.

The huge problem is our midfield. Hendo and Jonjo are not ready yet and they haven't really played together and Hendo has no confidence in himself at the moment he should not play at all.

When Luis needs to get to almost half line to get the ball cannot never be a good thing.

Also we don't commit enough bodies in the box when we attack so there is no point of trying to cross.

Downing went into hiding again and Enrique really needs a break and someone has to go over the match film with him as he is holding and holding on the ball too much and when he passes it is either too late or totally wrong option.

I better stop as I could go on and on, which is really ashame..

No point in selling Downing, he wont retain value and can be used as a squad player.

Henderson has youth and basic attributes on his side.

And then get what in return for all of them? There's not much wrong with Henderson IMO. Not all players are mentally strong at 21.
