Didnt think it was the same **** actually, not in terms of recent performances. Frankly, we battered them. How Kuyt misses that chance i'll never know and yet again not enough bodies in the box at important times. But we werent ****, nowhere near. We have been at times and especially recently, but definitely not today.

Just back from the game, first half was poor but the 2nd half we really upped our game and went for it. Dirk worked so hard today it's unreal, should have had 3 pens at least and it certainly wasn't the abject performances I've seen as of late.

Problem yet again was not being able to finish our chances and as you said just unwilling to get people into the box.

Players would be getting instructions to get into the box from midfield and yet they still dont. SO either Kenny doesnt think it's a problem or he's too worried about the consequences if he tells them to get up into the box. I dunno.

I didnt say it was the one magical solution to all our woes, but in all seriousness, if you take all the absolute sitters we've missed this season and just converted HALF of them into goals (considering how easy they've been, converting half isnt being radical) we'd be in contention for top four.

Even last January, just before we sold Torres and whilst he wasnt the goal machine he had once been, he was still a capable finisher of chances. That same Torres in this side would've made a world of difference.

Of course the decline in midfield quality has taken its toll too and selling Meireles/dropping Maxi have been extremely costly mistakes.

One other thing i wanna know - Downing absolutely ****ed Hutton up early on, he skinned him in a manner i never thought i'd see Downing achieve. All you'd need for a confidence boost.

So why did he vanish after that? FFS He's ****ing capable, but either doesnt believe in himself or just cant be ****ed. Dear god.
