Didnt think it was the same **** actually, not in terms of recent performances. Frankly, we battered them. How Kuyt misses that chance i'll never know and yet again not enough bodies in the box at important times. But we werent ****, nowhere near. We have been at times and especially recently, but definitely not today.

Just back from the game, first half was poor but the 2nd half we really upped our game and went for it. Dirk worked so hard today it's unreal, should have had 3 pens at least and it certainly wasn't the abject performances I've seen as of late.

Problem yet again was not being able to finish our chances and as you said just unwilling to get people into the box.

Thank **** at least a few other people saw the game I thought I did. I'm not saying it justifies our deficiencies or our form, but that wasn't, on its own, a bad performance apart from when it came to ball in net time.

Its crazy isn't it? I never really rates Downing and thought we way overpaid, but he was better for all his previous clubs in spells than I've ever seen him be at Anfield this season. He can do it... he just doesn't. And his understanding with Enrique on that side is awful (would say that could be Enrique's fault too but he links much better with Bellamy I'd say),

Little bit wrecked posting this...went the game and went out straight from it so bare with me.....god it was dire again today,mno dynamic or penetration or threat and god knows why he subbed shelvey before Henderson...shelvey wasn't great but he tried, he showed for the ball he wanted it and he never hide...henderson just didn't want the ball near him


It was that bad that the villa fans were aiming "we are winning away, we're winning away...how **** must be, we are winnnf away" haha
