Dont give me that 'not a good win' rubbish.
WTF would you have been expecting?
We needed three points, we got them.

Well we aren't a side high on confidence but I'd take scrapping wins like that 9 times out of 10, and we played with 10 men.Originally posted by sean_lfc View PostSorry, I didn't see it that way. We are diabolical. Maxi's prowess made it 2-0. If he weren't such a skilful finisher, it might never have gone to 2-0. I can't think of a player who would have buried those chances, not going by recent performances (ie. the last 10 games).
And in the 2nd half, we didn't try to win the game, it was shocking football we produced. And being down to 10 men doesn't really cut it for me, had Coates not lumped it upfront and that daft Blackburn player stayed around the goal post, offside, nada. It was a lucky goal, well executed but lucky.
In the grand scheme of things, we have been the ****test I've ever seen us play in a long time, and not just today. It's depressing and I'm glad once this season is over. Although I've taken it all jokingly, as others have had to, especially today, deep down, it's been shocking and not of Liverpool standard. All season hasn't.
My 2 cents.
We showed tremendous character and unity. That's good innit?
Are we winning?

Firstly speculative or not, it doesn't change the fact that Downing has no league goals or assists this season. He's ****ing shocking and it's a large contribution to the reason we can't score goals. If one of your main attackers can't provide or score it's a huge ****ing problem. In the team week in week out, it's a disgrace.Originally posted by Muddled View PostLet's not think of it that way, because that's just speculative bollocks.
We won 3-2. We moan when we lose, let's just enjoy the three points.
Just because we managed to snatch a late winner can't make me happy about the events that transpired today and the last few months. I'm happy we won, but a lot of that was dire.

It's debatable for me. The ball was bouncing about 6 yards away from Yakubu and going away from goal, with Coates coming back. If Jones hadnt touched him, Yakubu wasnt even going to GET the loose ball, let alone score.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Postah right, the bbc update said should have been red, fair?

We won away with 10 men. Try to celebrate.Originally posted by sean_lfc View PostFact of the matter is though, the win is still just papering over the cracks. That's the same I felt under Hodgson when we did win. I'm not comparing Bodge and Kenny, I'm just highlighting my own feelings.
Ah well, 3 points, hurray. Still 8th.
Seriously, I don't know why some of you lot follow Liverpool if you can't celebrate a win. Live for the moment, even if it doesn't follow your agenda of getting Kenny out.

Personally one of my favourite wins this season. The main reason I think is because of the spirit we showed and determination in abundance. That is what LFC is about and I think we have signed the type of players who usually drop their heads in this situation but hopefully more performances like this will let them know what it means to play for LFC.
