We weren't able to, Newcastle knew that - we had to pay that amount to get him, but I'd argue, was Torres worth £50m? No he wasn't, true AC was over-priced, but the £15m difference was about right and we had to move at that time, otherwise who would we have had as main striker Ngog?????Originally posted by CJ View Posti never did. Also i didnt buy the as long as it was 15m more reason
wouldnt you want to buy as cheeply as you can?

A simple "We've got enough talent to win and everyone must do better" would suffice. Nobody mentioned warning the manager via the official website.Originally posted by Chris View PostExactly, so its pretty clear they haven't given the manager a free pass. Personally I wouldnt like our owners warning our manager via our official website but it's each to their own. Werner doesn't exactly say "He'll be here next season" either.

just because we managed to fleece chelsea doesnt mean its good business to be fleeced by NewcastleOriginally posted by Drew Peacock View PostWe weren't able to, Newcastle knew that - we had to pay that amount to get him, but I'd argue, was Torres worth £50m? ultimately, if we were sitting third now none of this would have happened. poor results have led fsg to start shooting bullets and rightly so.
however, kenny is in charge of the team and that falls under his remit. we have underperformed no doubt and kenny's responsbile for that. tom werner just said it albeit not quite as directly as that.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Thats basically what it is, your desperation to get Kenny out is making you see things that dont exist.Originally posted by BootRoom View PostA simple "We've got enough talent to win and everyone must do better" would suffice. Nobody mentioned warning the manager via the official website.

It's the dreaded "vote of confidence" phenomenon isn't it, you'd actually feel his job was safer if they just said he'd done a bit of a **** job this seasonOriginally posted by Gibbo9 View PostIts strange how after they have backed him a lot of people think Kenny wont be here next season.
I agree but it doesnt make sense

They cant really say much else at the moment can they? They didnt say he'd be here next season either, just talked about "the future". It's pretty bland really, can spin it both ways.Originally posted by Gibbo9 View PostIts strange how after they have backed him a lot of people think Kenny wont be here next season.
