Could the timing be any worse?

I have a bad feeling (good for many of you on here) that Kenny will now go at the end of the season.

Unless he's convinced them that he doesn't need a director of football getting in the way and he'd prefer to sign players on sight rather than stats.

Strange timing. Perhaps something serious has gone down, like he was caught wanking in the boardroom.

Fenway Sports Group and Liverpool FC confirmed today that Director of Football Damien Comolli had left the Club by mutual consent.
Principal Owner John Henry said: "We are grateful for all of Damien's efforts on behalf of Liverpool and wish him all the best for the future."
Liverpool Chairman Tom Werner added: "The Club needs to move forward and we now have a huge game on Saturday. It is important that everyone joins us in supporting the manager and gets behind Kenny and the team and focuses on a strong finish to the season."
Damien Comolli commented: "I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to work at Liverpool and am happy to move on from the Club and back to France for family reasons. I wish the Club all the best for the future."
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Be interesting to see come the summer if this is a show of faith in Kenny or they sack him aswell.

Think it's inevitable that Kenny will go at the end of the season now.

If he has been sacked then why has he been sacked?

Surely this now puts more pressure on Dalglish. Dalglish has final say on the players the club bought.

Why, oh why, didn't this come out in the summer?!

Dalglish: "Damien and I had a fantastic relationship so it's sad to see anyone leave the club"

Maybe Kenny will fill the DOF role.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

What odds on Kenny moving into that role with Rafa coming back into the hot seat?

Making room for Kenny to step back upstairs, and open up the manager position?

does this mean the philosophy for managing the club has changed.

I can't help but feel this is good news. Strange timing, but good news.

I was underwhelmed when he arrived, underwhelmed by his signings and worried about what he would be planning for the summer (Darren Bent).

                                Family reasons according to 5LIVE
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
