I saw a lot of him and he looked a good player then and is continuing to score goals now. The only reason people assumed hevwasnt good enough was because he was playing for Rangers. I'm sure if we were interested in him when he was at Rapid Vienna it would have been a different story

30 goals in 45 games for Rangers, 6 in 9 for Everton - an excellent signing.
I think he looks stronger and more graceful on the ball. He seems to have stepped up in my eyes. I'm not keen on poachers anyway. Prefer more all-round players because it allows more flexibility and variation on the pitch.

Jelavic hasn't been brilliant for Everton, he's lethal but his all round game is also very good.

Gutted we didn't go for him, another transfer mistake. Mind you I bet if we'd have signed him he'd have been ****.

I've been surprised at how good he is both as a finisher and an all round player

He has certainly taken the move in his stride - but he always looked a confident player. He'd have been worth a punt at what ever Everton paid for him.

It was £6 or 7 million

I said he was worth a punt at that price

Yes long term you might want better but he'd have been good enough short term

Today we played some good pass and move football and created multiple chances that a finisher would have stuck in, we've done this on numourous occasions this season - played well, created chances and lost the game through not being able to finish chances
