Ive really not got into Rodgers at all, cant take to him

    Comment

He wasn't my choice, thought it was a monumental risk to appoint someone with no honours, no experience at this level etc, but I warmed to him pretty quickly. Obviously he's got to back it up with results. If he doesn't he might wind up looking a bit of a twit.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Fair enough. I was expecting something a bit more interesting and enlightening. I suppose in spite of the banality of the programme it still might be considered worth watching by some, but TV is generally ****. I suppose I should have expected it to be ****. Maybe I should just be grateful that it wasn't damaging to our club's reputation.

warmed to him based on his talk and his plans? Im suprised how everyone has taken to him so quickly with words and the lack of results, although im not bemoaning his results. Id like to see him get 3 years to prove himself despite disliking him

Yep, there was nothing else to go on, other than his transfer dealings I suppose. I just bought into his ideas, think he makes a fairly convincing case and I want us to play his way and be successful doing it his way. He gives me confidence, and confidence that the players will buy into it as well. I think players like him and that's important.

If we're near the bottom at Christmas I'll want the cunt OUT

That's the key for me. With everything that's gone on I was fearing the worst.

Although there is nothing of real substance, I always do find it interesting to see parts of the functioning of the club that you don't get to see often. e.g. I now know a bit more about what a medical involves. I don't really care about what it involved in a medical, but I don't care about most of the ****e that I find myself watching on TV either. It's all relative

Im still unconvinced his plans will work at a higher club, I dont think he gets the best out of our squad, and most importantly Suarez.

his plans seem to include all the players buying it 100% if there was some doubters I could see them turning on him very quickly

I love people, but I don't want to watch people on telly just being ordinary people without a story or a point. There are too many programmes on TV depicting ordinary people doing nothing or ordinary people trying to be extraordinary and failing miserably. This LFC programme seems to show extraordinary people trying to be ordinary and failing miserably.

He definitely has a plan, and it's a plan that is quite discernible to fans so it's something to buy into. Now it either works or it doesn't but I personally feel quite 'invested' in the idea of us passing the opposition to sleep and hope it works. The style of play is distinct and it is quite exciting to see how it develops. With the finances we have it's going to be really tough for us to complete if we play the same way as our competition but with cheaper players. We need something else and a distinct style of play is a possible route to success beyond our expenditure. It probably won't work but it might.

I dont like how public his plan is, gives team too much info about how we are going to set up each game, as well as giving them the teamsheet the day before

I think its a bit too rigid and should be adpated to get the best out of players like Suarez.

He was lucky it fell into place so easy at Swansea

I think if we were to compete like for like in midfield/attack Swansea players last season may have the edge over us this season and they finished bottom half

                      Britton Allen Sigurdsson
                      Lucas Allen Gerrard

given Lucas' injury and Allen moving back, as well as an off form Gerrard they edge it.

Dyer and Sinclair/ Sterling, Borini. Again probably Swansea

Graham/Suarez, no doubting whos the better player but in that forward position I think Graham suits it more.

Tbh ive no idea how to get the best out of Suarez cos I dont think its as the main striker or outwide, then having to fit Gerrard into the side. I dont envy his job, well despite me living off £50 a week whilst hes on about 20k

he does seem a little creepy. i bet that flannagan looks back at brendan giving him his one to one and has a little shudder like a creepy uncle has held on to him just a little too long
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I'm not saying I'm sucked in and hang on every word he says, but the odd cheesy line aside, he's mainly an impressive bloke.

When you listen to him talk you wonder if he's forgotten he's won the square root of **** all.
That's the most impressive part of his achievement for me, he talks like he won the CL with Swansea last year

I look forward to him referring to himself as a variant of 'special one' sometime soon.

But other than that (and the fact he is only 2 years older than me ) I find him to be reasonably impressive. The TV show is ok, its just bland LFC propaganda really (Suarez playing Monopoly FFS wonder if he stuck the nut on Lucas after landing on a hotel Vine Street?).

Thought it was a little boring, actually turned over with about 10 mins to go.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

Its what won't be shown that's of more interest.

Maybe its just me, but I got the impression that cameras were in action during the latter part of last season (the fact that the FA Cup got a couple of mins points to that at least) from the stories about this thing doing the rounds.
Does that mean that they've decided not to use any of the Dalglish material that they probably originally intended to, and instead have gone on an all-out Brendan reality show ?
Probably reading too much into it, and this was the original thought process behind the show.
