Savage is a good looking fella, so no harm in that.

i don't think you can say he lacks charisma and wit on the basis of a one hour documentary. I think he tries to maintain a professional manner in front of cameras. I bet he is quite a funny guy given half the chance. He has some strange hand gestures and I don't think he was altogether comfortable with the cameras. It seemed like he was trying too hard. Everybody reacts differently to cameras being around. Some people are natural, others are awkward and some try too hard. I think I would just be awkward and if it was me, it wouldn't even be the slightest resemblance to my 'real-life' persona.

Didn't know it was narrated by Clive Owen. Had no idea he was a Liverpool fan.

I find it hard enough when my wife gets the old camcorder out. Absolutely hate being filmed/talking into a camera.

IMO there is far too much being read into Brendan based on this documentary. Across the forums (at least the ones I've looked at) he is getting battered - people ripping the piss out of him and in some cases being quite hostile. In fact of the forums I've checked this place is going easier on Rodgers than any of the others I've seen. He's getting some right stick. The bloke barely stands a chance.

And all just because someone who looked like him gave him a self-portrait.

Most of the stick I've seen relates to just how he is....being compared to David Brent, being called an egomaniac, cheesy, full of cliches etc. He can't win, and in some cases it really seems people resent him for replacing Kenny.

Does sound a bit harsh. To some extent, everyone who has studied how to be and what to say to get the best from people is going to come across like that. What's important is that it's sound in basis and everyone around him buys into it.

I can understand people having a bit of a joke about a lot of this stuff, but I'd like to think they'd see it as no more than that.

I think he's a good guy, but maybe trying too hard to impress on a PR level. It doesn't help when you have a camera following you everywhere (or mostly everywhere). On that note, has anyone noticed how quick Ian Ayre is at typing?

Rafa was my first choice and TBH I find him slightly creepy but ill back him 100% and if he turns us back into title challengers I wouldn't care if he was David Brent!!!

                    Cheers

Classic TV/Movie technique.......just for the cameras, gibberish on screen etc.

Luckily Ian is well versed in the gibberish in his daily job, so it was no problem to him......he just worked away as normal.

That was exactly my point. He must have been doing it for the gallery.
