      yeh, watched that. quite interesting...

Fifty years after Jamaica gained independence from Britain, former footballer and sports pundit John Barnes sets out to investigate the extraordinary role his grandfather, Frank Hill, played in the island's struggle for self-rule.

John discovers how his grandfather became the subject of secret telegrams, and why he was interned by the British during World War Two. John also uncovers how, from being at the heart of Jamaican politics, Frank fell from grace among his political allies.

I'll go further to say I find it embarassing. I've seen Dave Kirby on Lfc tv since they began, and his poems are alright. But how many poems can one write about a club!!?

I think its embarassing as they constantly harp on about the history but have pretty much nothing to show for it over the last 10 years.

Having said that, the series is getting better and less cringeworthy as it was initially - got goosebumps (not goosepimples Jonjo) when they showed YNWA this past episode.

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

I thought the most telling moment of the last episode was Rodgers' conversation with Carroll. Did you see the body language? Hands in pockets, looking at the floor. The opposite of the touchy feely Rodgers we have come to know and love.
            Oh I don't know.

Very good observation. It is quite telling.

There is absolutely no chance Carroll will come back in January is there?

                Nope.

Poor old Carroll really wanted to play too.

'If you're feeling a little injured, don't worry about it. Have a rest, put your feet up.' Or words to that effect.
                Oh I don't know.

I found it snidey. The lad wanted to play and Rodgers was just bull****ting him. Playing on the fact that footballers aren't very bright. Showed a side of Brenda I don't like. I also wonder how many times especially as an established player you could sit through one of his team talks before you switched off and sensed bull****ter. He's Mr cliche.

Though I think he may succeed because of the young players that won't know any different. They'll take on his ideas better.

Also saw a side of reina that wants him to regain his form. Comes across really well.

                    Really What the **** ?

He has the manage 20 odd players and there only 11 spots each game, whilst keeping them motivated..

The clip you are speaking about off the top of my head ... he pulls him aside and tells him to take it easy, do what he can do, but dont train to hard as he has a tight ****ing hammy and theres no reason the kill it ... if you are right I'll play you, if not, dont worry will put someone in

                        Madness, isn't it
Criticising a manager for not playing an injured player!
Carroll himself even says he knows its probably best if he doesn't play!

Also, are people just conveniently forgetting what happened to Carroll just over a week later? Oh yeah, that's right, he pulled his injured hamstring on his debut for West Ham

I didn't like his 'dog reference' in his first few interviews. Said along the lines of 'you can't train footballers, you train dogs...'. Ffs.
