One trophy, of which the only testing game was City away and our worst league position..

I'd have happily taken 4th this season if it meant given that Carling Cup back..Sounds **** but we seriously need to be cracking on..

Arsenal fans would probably say the opposite..

Europa guaranteed next season which will inevitably mess up our chase for CL spot, which for us, is now becoming a must.. Financially and to attract the better players..

City, United, Chelsea and Arsenal will all be better next season and thats without taking Spurs into account..

    Hopefully so will LFC..

    So says the miserable one..

Pish season for me, doesn't matter how you try to dress it up - the CC win doesn't paper over the cracks.

I really wanted Kenny to do well and kick on from the end of last season. Sadly it just hasn't happened and its not just down to the poor signings not delivering - Kenny has been tactically naive on more than a few occasions and he hasn't managed to get the best out of key players. However, I still wouldn't sack or expect Kenny to stand down on the back of this season though - things have changed since he last managed a club and he was bound to make some mistakes.

I am not suggesting it was not hugely disappointing just that there are some genuine positives which you cant get away from, namely we won something, we secured european football which is hardly a given these days, we did actually at times play some truly excellent football, for large parts of the season we had the best defense, we had most shots on goal, we hit the woodwork the most etc

Lets not forget, we lost our influencial Brazilian mid field general, our Captain, our star striker, we were Public Enemy no1 for a large section of the season, its no acident our season went to **** after Christmass which coincided with us all joining the KKK international fan club, we were essentialy putting out nearly 11 players who have not played with each other and as pointed out 8 of our strongest players did not play on the same pitch with each other more than once.

Whilst I am not saying people, players, managers let us fans down because they certainly did, we really were that unlucky ... some people say well when it happens all season long then its not unlucky ... no it still is

Next Year back in Europe, lets push on.

Spearing, Aurelio, Maxi, Carra, Aquilani, Cole, Pacheco , Eccleston, Adam Maybe, Kuyt Maybe time to move on

It's been a poor, disappointing and strange season. We managed to get European football and win a cup where ever we finish the league season will have been dissappointing. Personally I just can't wait for it to be over. Sort ourselves out over the summer (develop a system and style of play) and come back stronger next season.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
