    Grow up.

"Let's not get carried away with a win against a chelsea team that had some of their big players rested"????? who cares who they had out....We battered them and big Andy made "JT" and Ivanovich look like mugs, as did Luis.....
"We will finish the season closer to the bottom than the top, how bright is the future?"????? STOP ****IN MOANIN........We have one more peice of silverware than UTD or City this season...
A Carling cup win and 30 odd points behind the leaders is simply not good enough.

True we bedded in many new players this year but those same players shine against Chesea but were nowhere to be seen against the like of Fulham//WBA/Darlington/Nuneaton and all the other no-marks who won at Anfield this year.

This stinks of a motivation problem. and this is down to Kenny

Until last night our only win this year at Anfield was the 3-0 against the blue****e......Enough said.

He was poor last night as well

Reina I've said for awhile is now at a level where he is easily replaceable. If he gets back to his old self then hes difficult to replace

Carroll looks like hes coming into the player he was at Newcastle with the added benefit of actually having an improved level of technique

Henderson I have thought for a long time will turn into a decent signing. He'll be one of those players that if hes still at the club in 3 years we'll say has been a steady eddie servant and if hes still here in 6 or 7 we'll say hes an integral part of the squad.

Downing there is no hope for imo

As for Shelvey like Henderson I think he'll become an important squad member. They both really come out of their shells when Gerrard isnt around them.

I cant decide whether Gerrard suppresses lesser players talents through taking stuff on himself, or whether players like Henderson & Shelvey abdicate responsibility when Gerrard is playing
This is a moot point I have been arguing for a long time, Lucas also suffered from this until he found his corner of the empire and started to relax. Shelvy and Henderson seem to have the same issue and it is understandable why it happens.

Do we really need to turn this thread in to yet another "how has our season been" with an underlying Dalglish discussion? It's already in just about every other thread.

Let's enjoy the win no matter how things have gone, there have been far between the big victories this season, and ending it on a high at Anfield should be enjoyed more IMHO.

I think that game showed that there is real potential to do better in the squad.

Carroll in particular looked immense in the highlights I've seen and can now be said to have shown some really good form as the season has come to an end. I suspect he will be very good for Hodgson in the Euros. Can't decide if that is a blessing (keeping him in form) or a curse (knackering him out for us).

I think Carroll have had plenty of bench time this season for him to manage the Euro's. Plus we have not had the odd 10 games in Europe this season, so I think most of our players should handle it.

In my head the phrase also encapsulated the boredom fatigue from being trained by Hodgson.

Which of our players are likely to play at the Olympics do we think?

Chelsea's supposedly weak starting line-up was assembled for £40m more than ours. It's really easy to forget how consistent the pumping of money has been in to their squad.

I think the important thing as well is we've seen players starting to grow. After a season like this they will now know what it is to play for this club.
                    Are we winning?

Henderson and Shelvey, maybe Carroll depending on his participation in the Euro's?

Kelly? Also Bellamy is in the provisional squad with Joe Cole

                            One of your hated clichés?

More like "points to ponder" or "hope for the future".

Kelly is a good shout, forgot about him!

I'd be surprised if someone from Wales got in the England squad

Anyone got an idea if Suarez could play for Uruguay? Hope not, he has played a lot of games since the WC.
