Whelan again...
"They set down their rules on how they saw the role and the way they wanted the team run and that was not the way Roberto would do it,” Whelan told ESPN.
“Roberto has his own way of doing things but they are American owners who have their own ideas of how it should be done.
They are entitled to want to do it their way and Liverpool are a big club so I can see why Brendan Rodgers has opted to go there and good luck to him he’s a fine coach.
“But I don’t think Swansea are going to be too pleased, they lost Roberto to us and they were none too happy about that and now they have lost Brendan so I imagine they will be even more unhappy right now.”
So are in we still in for LVG?

I would rather spend 20m on compensation than Stewart Downing.Originally posted by Macedonian_Red View PostLets see ...

- Compensation to Roy ...
- Compensation to Kenny ...
- Compensation to Swansea ...
We have spent over £20 million on managerial compensations over the last 2 years ...

Didn't FSG sack our chief medical person?Originally posted by Rich View PostMy worry too. Just because Rodgers knows them and has worked with them doesn't mean they're the best at what they do.
I can understanding his assistant coming along. But I'd have thought our medical staff would be far superior to Swansea's?
Maybe Brendo likes the caterers at Swansea - can they come up too?

Could he not have done what Lambert has just done at Norwich and resigned, or would there still be compo to pay somewhere along the way?

Your not being very convincingOriginally posted by malg View PostThe more I read the more of a disaster this could turn out to be. If we are trying to replicate the backroom of Swansea, we could well find ourselves in yet another mid table position next season. But he does have my support....honest.

I thought one of the aims of FSG was to have a sort of Manager-neutral setup whereby if the manager left (or other key member - sporting director, etc) there would be minimal disruption to the rest of the organisation.

All that sex, drugs and rock and roll have melted your brainOriginally posted by Fierce View PostHe does
That he his, I dont doubt his passing ability whatsoever, mainly because he plays the short easy simple pass more often than not
I just think his ability when receiving a pass is sometimes a bit dodgy and without looking at stats, my brain seems to remember thinking how often his control lets him down and he has to chase the ball after giving it away
But I could well be wrong, its happened before apparently
As myself and Mattshark get none of the above our opinion is much more reliable.
