Its just not becoming of a club of our stature.

So just get Rafa in, give him a 2 year contract and if it doesn't work out sack him.
If we become a club that changes manager every couple of years until we find the right one, big ****in deal. The longer this goes on he is likely to be the only one interested anyway. Him and Martinez, for some reason I reckon if AVB was interested then we'd have employed him already. He's hedging his bets, waiting to see if a better offer comes along.

Personally I think Rafa would work out, I know some people don't rate him and think anyone who does is a deluded fool.

Martinez would be a disaster, he is not ready for us, a good coach, but not ready for us yet.We want to be in the top 4 remember, not 8th again. Martinez hasn't worked at anywhere near our level. And nobody else wants the job. So give it to Rafa, or get Kenny back
You've made Phoenix's point for him.

Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

For me the choice is either AVB or Martinez if AVB turns us down.

Cannot see any dark horse entering the race after De Boer ruled himself out.

Well at least journos are now more or less admitting they are just making **** up to fill space now.

It's a shame De Boer turned us down. He wants to work with the youngsters at Ajax and bring them through. Dutch correspondent on the radio talking about him.
He would have been an excellent appointment and he was very flattered to be offered the job but he wants to be loyal.

I dont get why we're wasting time on AVB when he's clearly not 100% interested. Should be no different to signing a player. If they arent jumping to come to liverpool then dont go for them cause they wont put their heart and soul into the position. Sending my resume in. I won 4 trophies in football manager last year.

I would actually rather Martinez over AVB tbh.

And why arent they in England since all the managers they're asking about are either located there or a few hours plane ride to meet. Its always the same with Liverpool, takes 4months to get anything done. Going to break something.

Its a little more complicated than that ...

Why? First a ridiculous obsession of youth when it comes to players, but now managers as well. We don't need him to be running around the pitch. He's not going to die soon, and there's definitely managers a lot older whom have won things. People said he was too old earlier in his career when he was a success with Real Madrid and Juve, he's one of the finest of our our era and compared to the other **** that's been linked with us would be a superb choice, he wasn't fantastic with England, but let's be frank, even the best of us can't polish ****. He has a way of squeezing everything out of a squad, and that's exactly what we could do with right now, when you consider the limited nature of our squad and in all probability not enough money to reinforce all areas with enough quality. For me, if it's between him and a number of inexperienced rookie managers, then it's Fabio all day. After Rafa, he's actually one of my preferred choices overall.

It amazes me how the press can get things like this wrong, last week I was reading a build up to the CL final and read that the last team to win the European Cup on their home ground was Roma who beat Liverpool on penalties in 1984
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He probably wants to hear the plan that the owners have and who is expected to stay and leave etc. I don't think he should be dissed cause he's thinking it over. More a sign of intelligence I would have thought rather than someone like Woy who ran all the way to Anfield to sign on in case we changed our minds
