The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Fairly encouraged by the names linked so far. Not a Pardew or Rodgers in sight so far.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

If we get AVB, I will whole heartedly be massively patient.

He is ages now with Kenny when he first got the job. **** the Chelsea debacle, he was never going to win there.

Cant see it taking that long though given their history with the new chief exec and Comolli's replacement it might! Needs to be in the next week to 10 days really.

Reckon we need someone in before they start

Doesn't Whelan love getting a call from the press though? He's the chairman equivalent of Harry winding down his electric window.

I voted Capello. He's not the only one but I'd take him. I'd have Rafa back but not sure it would work out as we want, LvG would be OK too, or even Leow

Our owners have to seriously consider a big name manager to handle big game players like Luis and attract players also.

                        This only leaves AVB, surely?

Klopp ha s re-signed yes? Pep on leave. Martinez is not up there yet.

                        Ooh, what about Big Sam..?

I'm sure that the owners have already approached a number of potential candidates and think that they have made a decision. It wouldn't make sense to sack Dalglish without having a strong preference for an alternative. Maybe our next manager has accepted an offer, but is naturally keeping relatively quiet about it until the dust settles a bit following Kenny's dismissal? It would be stupid to do otherwise.

I think Villas Boas and Benitez are extremely realistic.

I'd love us to get Klopp, but I don't see that as a possibility anymore. Van Gaal is more likely to become a DOF unless he goes to Chelsea as manager.

Loew is probably a no go too, as would be Blanc. I'm going with Villas Boas.

Martinez needs to do a job at Villa or the like before making the step up to Liverpool. He's not ready yet. Wigan are a championship side with no expectation, even their fans don't really give a ****.
