In all honesty, Rafa likely is best candidate out there. Got proper stitched up in his last season. Had he kept his mouth shut about G&H he'd have likely still been in the job, but we may have been in the Beezer Homes League or whatever it is nowadays.

Can't believe people moan at him for fighting the past owners.

Yeah in a ****ing year were our owners were publically fighting with each other, trying to sell the club to ****ing tom dick and chinese harry, tapping up other managers, telling the current one, a man who at the bare minmim deserves professional respect to stick to coaching, the club was going down the toilet fast, the press were loving it and the fans were tearing each other apart ... none of this was down the Rafa ...

Champions Lg year in year out, 2 Champions Lg Finals .... 2 !!! .. QRT Finals, Semi Finals ... He Won it !! he Won the FA Cup, he got 8 ****ing 6 points in the lg .. all this without breaking the bank the way we have been recently ... Rafa is the man ... I hope he comes back i will ****ing cry if he does ... if not .. they truly better put a top top manager in place ... that said .. let the record state .. I love FSG !!!

Yes. Rafa did all that in SPITE of all the ****e from the owners and having to work to a budget.

IMO they'd be more concerned about how Rafa has fallen out with the last 3 owners of the last 3 clubs he has been at.

They want to get this decision spot on and i just can't see how they would even consider a man who splits opinion with LFC fans, has already been at the club and has a history of battling with owners.

I don't remember Moratti having a go at him at Inter. And he was right to have a go at the LFC owners.

This is the thing. If they make promises to Rafa that they won't keep, he will argue and throw a strop. Inter promised him funds they never delivered. G&H pulled the rug from under his feet when he was planning another assault on the title. At Valencia he asked for an attacking mid or something and they bought him a defender.

Tell him what is available, then allow it to be spent wisely, and Rafa will never complain.

But he won't get the job.

Yeah Moratti wasn't impressed after Rafa made some comments about reinforcements etc blah blah distant memory. Fact remaining Rafa had a champions league & domestic league winning side and had an absolute mare with them. Suppose ee could go back and fourth all night about Rafa, done to death don't think either of us want to so that. But I don't think it is a coincidence that Rafa has rowed with every owner, regardless of anything else.

Anyways i agree he won't get the job.
