Mourninho, guardiola, rafa, hiddink, van gaal would be my choices in that order.

Martinez, lambert, Rodgers, klinsmann will no doubt be the owners choices haha

No need to be sarcastic about a former Anfield legend. You were bigging up Jol and Mark Hughes earlier so it's not like anyone takes you seriously anyway

It would seem logical to appoint the DOF first, and charge the DOF with appointing the Manager.

Worrying times, this really is going to be a crucial appointment. For what it's worth, villas boas can **** off, the guy has only one full season of managerial experience against a shower of ****e in the Portuguese league. Granted, when you consider the uefa cup and the unbeaten run Porto had that year then he did a good job but he has nowhere near proved himself as being a candidate for this job IMO

Villa Boas had the Portuguese league in his hand - just like Staale Solbakken had the Danish league. Both failed when they came abroad (Staale came from Norway, but played and managed in Copenhagen), so none of them should be allowed to take over at LFC.

De Boer in Ajax would be a good shout - as well as Klopp in Dortmund. But would they want to leave a club in the Champ.League? No - it would cost a lot of money. It has to be one of the unemployed - or from a lower club - so Rafa, Rijkard, Van Gaal could be it. Löw would be good as well - if he dare think of time after the Euro - and will have energy to attack a new job in a proper way.

              I really don't want Martinez.

People seem to forget he has been at Wigan all season and they played some terrible football before they turned it on on the last few weeks.

              Rafa
              Klopp

              Big gap

              Bielesa

              Big gap

I truly truly hope the new manager will be someone that those who wanted kenny out will be gutted at.

That is just unfair. There is no reason to think he would be anything like Woy. He is eloquent, his teams, although occasionally employing long balls (****ter players, to be expected) usually play nice progressive football. He is unproven and is clearly a risky choice, but there is no need to give him this kind of **** imo.

Would you not just rather it was someone who can make us successful again?

My take on the most likely candidates:

Martinez (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberto_Mart%C3%ADnez) - Far too green, only managed Swansea and Wigan so far with fairly mixed results. He definitely has potential but he's a bit green for a job this big. Flavour of the month. It's a no for me.

Andre Vilas Boas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Villas-Boas) - A bit green like Martinez but crucially for me he's already had significant success. Winning the Portugese league with 27 victories and 3 draws, no losses, was a phenomenal achievement. He then became the youngest manager ever to win a European competition. Plus Porto played brilliant football. The big concern is obviously what happened at Chelsea could happen here too, but it's a risk I'd be willing to take for a man who has a score to settle. I wanted him before Chelsea got him and I'd still take him now.

Rafa - Regardless of past histories he's the most qualified man available who'd likely take the job. If he doesn't get the job it could only be for personal reasons IMO, or possibly as FSG want a young up and coming manager. I'm praying I'm wrong and FSG hire him, but I just can't see it sadly

Jürgen Klopp (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jurgen_Klopp) - Had mixed success with Mainz taking them up but then getting them relegated. At Dortmund he's done ridiculously well, and I absolutely love the type of football they play. Aside from bring Rafa back he'd be my number one choice, I just don't think we'd be enough to convince him to leave Dortmund

I'd also be interested in Marcelo Bielsa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcelo_Bielsa) and people might laugh at this but what's the harm in making enquiries for Guardiola? To me he's looking for a project, a club he feels he can build up. In that sense we fit the bill, and he might just feel it's the type of challenge he wants to take on.

doubt De Boer would come. he is ajax through and through.
