I'm absolutely convinced it's Martinez and they'll move quickly for him... I'm not keen at all.

I'm starting to think this also.

I just feel that if we were to take the last few results out of his career, he wouldn't even be a consideration.

The wins against the top sides at the end of the season have raised his stock far above what it should be in reality.

Can't help but think that if it is Martinez, then we should really have stuck with Kenny for a tad longer.

But hopefully were he to come here, i'd be proved wrong.

I think you're probably right. Not my first pick but he seems like a bright guy, seems well liked by players and media, plays pretty good football, and mates with rafa . Has most of the attributes to look for. Questions over paying decent money for players, handling pressure of a big club, egos of top players etc, but he could well do it. As everyone says, a gamble, but an interesting one. Would get my backing if appointed.

I think we'll get a big name.I also think they'll try a new strategy in the transfer market of buying top drawer players or as near to that as we can get.We can't afford to gamble on young players with potential this time round. Another three or four Downings etc and we're well and truly ****ed financially for years to come IMO.I'm not slashing my wrists just yet.
