Andi Rush @AndiRush
Few weeks ago I'd happily have said AVB as the next LFC Manager, but @TonyEvansTimes seems to have doubts about him, makes me think now.
Tony Evans @TonyEvansTimes
@AndiRush It won't happen. Unless someone has lied (Deffo not) he's not in frame. Times will say that today
Tony Evans @TonyEvansTimes
@AndiRush He misjudged Chelsea completely. But his immaturity was wider than that. Bright fella. Needs to learn humility
I know Tony Evans talks a lot of ****e but lets say he's right about AVB, I am very concerned who fsg are considering. Lets be honest it looks clear to me that Rafa is a no go, Guardiola, Mourinho and Klopp are not realistic targets. Martinez and Rogers would be a massive, massive gamble so I don't think we'll go there. I'm interested to know who they have up their sleeve.

I'm not happy with their decision, I think they have a hell of a job on their ****ing hands
Martinez & Rodgers should not be anywhere within a million miles of the LFC job
That said if they are appointed I'd give them support and invest patience in them, as I dont mind them as people and at least they try and play positive football (unlike Roy)
Its a massive summer for FSG they have a lot of people to replace at the club and not only do they have to get the individual appointments right. They also have to hope that there is a quick working relationship developed between all the various appointments
Because if the next appointments dont hit the ground running then there will be enormous pressure put on them (by the media & some sections of the support)Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Is that quote genuine? If so my respect for Purslow has increased if nothing else, it can be hard to admit you were wrong.Originally posted by Lecter View PostRoy Henderson@royhendo
RT @JohnSinnott: Christian Purslow tell Today programme: "Two obvious names - Capello and Benitez." #lfc <- coffee stain down shirt
My feeling is that Capello would require a good choice of DoF to be a success long term. We need to have an infrastructure built/rebuilt that can take us forward and Capello has always seemed to me to be about the short term results (which he is obviously very good at getting).
In a lot of ways I think one of the interesting aspects of this is whether we get a manager in who has a clear philosophy (like Rodgers, Martinez or AVB) or more of a pragmatist (Lambert or Capello).
I'm pretty certain that, much as I would love him to return, it won't be Rafa."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
