This is the right decision and I am sure Kenny knows it himself.
Removing Rafa was unjust, but removing Kenny is right?!
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Hopefully everybody will get behind whoever becomes the next LFC manager, but I fear it will not be the case. Not even Dalglish had full support when his contract was extended this summer, which kinda indicates nobody will get it right now - or at least not for very long if the slightest goes wrong.
I think the major difference between getting someone completely new and Rafa is that the later will already have a large sceptical group going after him if things are not completely different from the start. Add to that the people who wanted Rafa sacked at the time and feel gutted Kenny was sacked now would be all over this. For the fanbase, and club in general, I personally think we would be better off going in a different direction now. A new manager I think would get more leeway this time (or at least I hope so).
Personally I will get behind whoever is not Hodgson and appointed as new manager. I think we would be doing disfavour (disservice? can't find the word right now), by going back to Rafa personally, and I think we will be in for a turbulent time if so. One of the best things when Dalglish was appointed to me was that we finally had a united fanbase again, and I'm really dreading if the club would split again, and for that reason alone I want us to start completely new.
I btw. voted for someone else, don't like that list except Klopp that I find unrealistic right now.
I was gonna reply to this but I think most points have already been covered by others. Basically I think any manager who takes over won’t be afforded much time from certain fans if things don’t go well. By our poll alone, any manager bar Rafa will have 90% of fans who wanted someone else. They are going to have a lot of people still loyal to Rafa, a lot of people still loyal to Kenny and a few people that will think they know better than the owners and think they should have went for their chosen manager whomever that would be. Rafa on the other hand will have continued support from the majority IMO and would most likely be shown more patience.
For the owners that shouldn’t matter too much and I’m not saying that’s a good reason to offer him the job, but I think it’s reason enough to dismiss the idea that he shouldn’t be given the job because some fans aren’t keen. The job should go to the best man with the best CV, it shouldn’t matter what the fans think (to a certain extent) and it shouldn’t matter who he has and hasn’t managed before and IMO Rafa should have as good a chance as any. Like people used to say about Mourinho, if the club is successful, fans won’t care who the manager is and I agree. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

With all the uncertainty surrounding the club, with the constant changing of managers, with our poor league form over recent years and failure to reach the CL, surely we have to get in a big name who is well respected across Europe to have any chance of signing some decent players.
I don’t think we can take a chance on a potentially great young manager at this stage. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
