Well Dein has pretty much been confirmed. But Ayre made it sound like they are taking advice from various people, so I wonder who else? What do the rumours say?

It doesn't say much for Ayre if the owner's are taking advice from people outside the Club.

Presumably, the club doesn't need permission to talk to the likes of out of work managers like Rafa and AVB, so it's not going to make news. I can't believe that he is the only candidate.

Well, i think they decided to sack Kenny in plenty of time to think over who they want in.

What I would say is that LFC will talk to quite a few people. Martinez is long way from getting the job

On the issue of attracting players, that's the DOF job. And attracting a big name with the right ideals is what's important.

Say we got Van Gaal or Cruyff. They'd attract a bucket load of players.

So that is not really an issue. If you believe Tompkins, he reckons the DOF has already been selected and is helping identify the next manager.

Definitely and I'm surprised about the lack of people mentioning him. The things he has done at Norwich are incredible. We wouldn't take one player from Norwich to play for us yet they have finished 4 places behind us in their first year. Lambert makes them play at a higher level. He seems to instill them with a self belief and confidence. I think hes going to be a top, top manager. Maybe I am a bit biased being Scottish but I genuinely believe hes the real deal.

My choice was Rafa but very unlikely and then AVB , but if we get a DOF in That TIXI fella ,I think we only need a good coach and not a manager who can attract big names, that will be the job of the DOF and let's face it Martinez coached some **** players to play some nice football , Give peace a chance

I think it's a close call between Martinez, Rogers and Lambert. But Martinez is proven to not be a "George Burley" type flash in the pan.
