The fact that there was only 2 or 3 offers should tell you enough as to whether it was such a fantastic deal

Even my bluenose mate who is as bitter as any said to be before. How can you be looking at any other manager when Rafa is sitting there waiting to get the call. AVB is still unproven, there is one manager willing to come to us with a successful background and that Rafa. If we bring in Martinez and are willing to buy him out rather than bring an untied Rafa in, I'll be gutted. It'll make me lose faith in the owners because its a no brainer.

Even those than don't like Rafa must know he's miles better than Martinez.

When Broughton came in, Hicks and Gillett lost the legal authority to compose the makeup of the board, and thus Broughton and his majority could accept any offer they deemed fit - the key point here is that there was plenty of time during this period for would-be buyers to come forward and make their offers.

NOT AT 550 MILL FFS thats the point, at 200 mill there would have been a dozen viable bidders; but by that time only FSG were in the race as Broughton, et all had no time to negiotiate

He is the biggest bull****ter of all and I cannot express how unhappy I would be if he is chosen.

Had on one ocassion sent DM by him cause I told him that Gerrard was never looking to pass during his 3rd goal vs Newcastle to Carroll as he was trying to make the point that Carroll doesn't follow the play in the box well at all.

He got so upset that he had to respond in the cowardly way..
