My boyhood idol that lives and breathes Liverpool FC has failed, thats sad.
Before I tear myself away, no he wasn't the "king". I was nearly 23 when I saw him score at Middlesbrough away on his league debut so I was way past the point where I had heroes. In fact come to think of it I never did have heroes as that kind of idea would have been considered very girly in the arse-end of Liverpool where I was dragged up.

He was a great player and a great manager first time round but my flesh creeps when I see "King Kenny" or worse "KK". Stuff like that is too awful for words - and I'm an honorary southern softie now having lived down here for far too long but it still makes me want to chuck up

        Couldn't agree more...

A little bit of me died when i heard the news... Even reading his twitter comment afterwards made my eyes water...

The King is gone.... Long live the King..

Kenny Dalglish - a walking Liverpool Legend - Thanks for all the goals, all the smiles, all the celebrations - Thanks for being (and continuing to be) my hero...

"Sentimentally they can still be sad..." Oh boy, do I despair. Right, off to the pub in central London to meet a City fan mate and have lots of proper beers and chew the fat.

There must be an element of drilling the formation into players. And I don't think we would need too many additions to make it work with what we have.

I like the idea of Suarez Carroll and Another in a front three.

He loves to hammer home how much of a man he is doesn't he and how we're all big girls for labelling Liverpool's greatest ever player a King. Shame on us big sissy's

Although I would really be delighted if someone knew rafas time of birth or any current players.

do you think we ever drilled our players recently? i think with us never having settled on a system our players have struggled knowing what they are meant to do. maybe some have been judged to early?

shame sterling or suso arent a bit further on in their development

A fair few of those can be ruled out now:

                            Roberto Martinez
                            Rafael Benitez
Frank Rijkaard - said he's not interested according to 1 report
                            Andre Villas-Boas
Brendan Rodgers - declined. Thank ****.
                            Paul Lambert
Marcelo Bielsa - ruled it out himself
Sami Hyypia - just signed a new contract
                            Harry Redknapp - never happen
Roberto Di Matteo - never happen
                            Didier Deschamps
                            Jupp Heyncke
                            Jose Mourinho - never happen
Chris Hughton - not a chance
                            Carlo Ancelotti
Bob Bradley - not a chance
