really if we knew exactly what we wanted the real shortlist might have 2/3 candidates not 6/8/12.

I know mate, and if i'm honest i sort of agree that a list could have been whittled down if it is as many as people suggest, i said so at the time the rumour broke about there being 12 of them.

I also though hope that there are reasons for this, other than they don't know what theyr'e doing, and i think there are, the decision is as important to them as us, we all want and need to win desperately.

But believe me i do take your point on board, and i know full well the media will manipulate the fact there's apparrently a large amount of candidates for headlines and negativity any way they want.

I think the problem is that we are all judging them from a position of ignorance, we don't know how many people they have in fact contacted, whether contacts talked about are purely for the managers position or whether DoF/head coach under an experienced manager are being looked at or even if so whether there are overlaps between the lists.

I think people care far too much about what some journalists are saying. Everyone hated Mike Ashley and wailed about the appointment of Pardew at the time but now everyone is praising the way he's turned the club round. I really don't think publicity on this will make any difference long term. Any manager put off by it would have real problems with it when in the job, so probably isn't suitable IMO.

Uncertainty isn't fun but I think people have to accept that you have to suspend judgement as you don't have enough facts.

The pace its going at Martinez 2 days ago, Rodgers yesterday.. Should we expect another today? Obviously more might have been spoken to but the ones at clubs seem to be pretty public.. Come June we should be looking to bring players in! With the Euro's we should be tying people down before its even started.

There is a chasm in the difference between american and british sports culture. in this country you just dont speak to 12 different people because instead of the process looking thorough it looks completely farcical. Thats not the way things are done here and unfortunately theres no one to tell them about it.

Kenny was the perfect man to help them understand the culture of football and how things are done not just in england but especially at liverpool.

At the.minute were rudderless and its showing in all departments.

personally i think it's absolutely ridiculous doing our business like this. It comes across as like FSG haven't got a clue who they really want or what they want.

IMO it comes across exactly the way it is... that they know absolute nothing about the game of football.
