I don't believe you can judge him purely on the fact that he was sacked by Chelsea.. If anything, it might just be a good thing.

I'd be very happy with AVB.

he wasnt given the support by chelsea to fulfil his remit and they're a bunch of plastic ****houses so his experience there is an irrelevance. depending on how he reacts of course but going there could be a great lesson and a serious motivator to succeed in the prem. long term plan, great young manager. we'd be doing well to get him

Learn from previous mistakes. Hungry to prove himself, etc.
He obviously has a lot of qualities about him and Chelsea saw that to pay a wedge in compo to get him..

For me, people saying his Chelsea experience is 'irrelevant' and 'he had no chance with the players running the show' is akin to people saying Hodgson had no chance here because he wasnt Dalglish.

Klopp and FDB I can understand, but ignoring Rafa for the like of AVB and Martinez is beyond ridiculous.

If we get him, I reckon he'll want a really big overhaul of the squad. Most of the squad doesn't seem capable of fitting into his style of play. Slow, thick in the head and mentally fragile.

He's a Portuguese Rafa in my eyes, except he focuses much much more on technique.

I'm trying to prepare myself to accept Martinez, but my brain just can't take it at the moment.
