Yep they do quite a lot, I don't but it seems a lot of other people do. I am very manager centric, I have had the managers name on the back of my last 3 shirts, I missed out on the Hodgson one ... but Ged, Rafa and Kenny proudly were worn, the only people I idolize are charity workers, but I have a huge amount of respect for Rafa, my kind of professional, my kind of man, my kind of human being.

Thats me, you obviously have a different opinion, superb, theres room for both in this world

      Fair enough

From what i read about him, he seemed to be a genuine guy but to be honest dont know him or any of the other candidates, except for Martinez from Adam

All this get rid of Carra, Ayre irks me also, but for different reasons. These people are mature men and professionals for ****s sake. Its not a tree club we are running, its a professional outfit, everyday people who dont get along, get along, players who hate each other pass the ball to each other, MDs shake the hands of directors the would not enjoy a meal with and owners put up with people the rather not, at the end of the day, results are all the matters. Rafa knows how to get results, he got amazing results with limited backing the first time around, with his eye for detail and his statistically driven approach to the game, a lot of us beleive hime and FSG would make a fantastic team.

That and I think he is a decent human being and that counts for a lot also in my books. He is like a modern day Kenny so its easy to see why they are both idolized. But putting all that to one side, I am just fully confident he would put us back on the map, i cannot say that for any of the other candidates.
You see, you wrote that constructively which I can accept and understand. I said before he is the outstanding candidate (alongside Villas Boas in my opinion). I would've taken Klopp and Van De Boer ahead of him, but unless Guardiola turns around and says 'I want the Liverpool job', then there should only be two candidates in this.

I always write constructively except when there are ballbags around

Obviously if you throw in the rumours and what Chelsea players said then he seems an even bigger cock.

I may well be wrong but it's just the impression i get and for me he just isnt a good fit for the job.

Do you know this as a fact, or are you going off the post match quotes?

You need to read this BIG GAME post match report just incase and then make your mind up. I personally dont know if he was carrying an injury but in such an important game as this, it seemed a crazy decision.

                http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8597490.stm
It was widely reported at the time that Torres's knee had not recovered properly after the surgery he'd had on it that January. Liverpool were trying to nurse the problem but it was becoming apparent that further surgery would be needed to repair it once and for all. In the event, he aggravated the injury in the very next game after Birmingham and that was his season over.

The next time we saw Torres, he was playing for Spain in South Africa, having rushed his recovery from that second operation in order to make the World Cup. He was, as I'm sure you'll remember, a very pale shadow of the Torres we knew.

So, if you reckon that Benitez was "talking bollocks" based purely on Gerrard's incredulous expression and one single line from a BIG GAME match report, then thats your opinion.

But for me, given those circumstances surrounding that substitution at Birmingham, I personally believe that perhaps, just maybe, Benitez actually knew what he was talking about.

                  Crazy talk!

I think, as many national journalists said, he was wilfully committing professional/managerial suicide, just for the ****ing hell of it

                    Inclined to agree with this.

What worries me more is that whilst there's no shortage of AVB detractors absolutely no one has come out to support him - at least not as a person.

I can't help thinking no smoke without fire and all that.

I see a lot of people asking why Rafa hasn't been appraoched. How do you all know for certain he hasn't?

Because Tony Barrett, whos source is Ayre, said he hasnt.

Seriously, if we arent going to take the word of reliable people then whats the point of even discussing it.

My question, does anyone know if this is true that Barrett's source is Ayre.

Look at Henry's last tweet, it's in response to somebody saying bring back Rafa, granted it was over 2 months ago

                              @John_W_Henry: @SunSlimstone No.

It might have been on that particular snippet of info

I dont think he was his source previously
