pauldalglish3 mins I like him a lot as a person but bias aside I don't know what he has done to be a contender apart from play pretty football.
    Totally agree with this.

Cant help thinking he would be a flavour of the month appointment.

His success next season would be measured as beating this year, 7th then. We'll be fed bollocks like, "we're in transition, give the guy a chance".

the guy does not have the CV of a top flight manager and we're not in the position to take a chance.

    We're ****ed.

I've said I think it's Martinez from the start and I'm getting more convinced by the day, won't be happy but I do like him so I'll get on board.

Valencia could have said that when taking Rafa on

SOMEBODY has to take that chance or else these guys would never progress

Valancia can say what they want.

We're in a very precarious position and cannot take a punt on a reasonably unproven manager.

A world class manager (Rafa) is being ignored/sidelined cos he doesnt get on with Ayre. This is not a good enough excuse in my opinion and Ian needs to ****ing well man up for the good of the club.

The Mrs crucified me the other day because she said something along the lines of 'it was about this time of the year when you went to Istanbul wasn't it' and I replied in under a second May 25th 2005.

She went on about anniversaries or something but in my head I had already started humming In My Life by The Beatles. I'm going to play it on YouTube now in fact. Thanks Pablo

Those dates are only important to her, 25th May 2005 meant something to millions of people

We are not Valencia. They are an above average club where managers can prove themselves ready for clubs like us by turning them into championship competitors.

They had just been to 2 champions league finals in 3 years.

Every manager is a risk to some extent. I feel the owners have decided on a long term plan with a DoF and a young manager with potential, rather than an older more experienced manager. We may disagree, but it's their call. I will get behind whoever we bring in. I hope it's not AVB, but if it was I'd be behind him.

So according to sky Martinez is chatting NOW about the LFC job. So all being well, by the weekend we could be the new Aston Villa yippeee, now where did I put that bottle of whiskey.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.
