Good post. I think we've all seen that the Premier League has fallen well behind the Spanish who have been using this system for years. I think we could be setting a precedent for the premiership with the appointment of LVG & RM.

Segura said about Van Gaal that he is a manager who actually makes the team grow and leads the club. He offers a style, a working method and teaches it.
When you hear that and you are aware that this guy won CL and La Liga etc and most importantly he is available and indications are that he wants the job, why are we wasting our time on Rodgers or Martinez of this world?Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Such things work else where. it is pretty much only in the UK that the manager has such control.Originally posted by Baracus View PostFSG trying to bringing American Football to LFC
Offensive Coach -
Defensive Coach - Steve Clarke
General Manger -
Technical Director -
Football Director -
They will all be wearing Headphone and Microphone sets in the Technical Area at Anfield next Season
To Many Cooks and all that
Having numerous coaches is not exactly unusual to be honest.

I don't disagree with it. I know fully that it works elsewhere. Going off rumours and media I just think its a complete an utter scattergun approach.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostSuch things work else where. it is pretty much only in the UK that the manager has such control.

They have a list of Job Titles and want people to fill those new titles they have just made.
I'd rather they hired someone who has experience in setting up such teams and letting him hire the relevant people.
They could go anywhere in Europe and pick the best guy to do that job.
Disclaimer - Unless of course they have found someone and they are letting him do that.

I think I've found my new signature.Originally posted by BigChief View PostOR ... they actually understand more about football without the English hangup we're all suffering. DoF - NOOOOO, Technical Director - HERESY. BURN THE AMERICAN WITCHES.
We are probably the first English club being grabbed by the b*llocks and being dragged into the new millenium. This is how large successful teams operate in Europe. Yet again, our own fanbase are dragging us back to the dark ages.
One tit for another.

Coz they don't have nearly enough experience to manage the club of our size nor they have any credentials to warrant that type of appointment.Originally posted by Gibbo9 View PostCos they are flavour of the month, innit?
Their next step should be mid table clubs but not LFC.
I don't buy into FSG long term approach at this point, as I predicted in the past, they are all about results.
They have to get into CL next year as 4 years without CL football would be disastrous.
With that in mind, if Martinez and/or Rodgers get the job and results are not there from the get go do you think FSG will stick with their 5-year plan?
Not a chance but they are such a huge risk from the beginning which is the reason for my surprise with their selection process but then again knowing who is advising them on the matter I really shouldn't be expecting anything different.
Imo it is poor business when CL winning manager with 59% winning ratio and 5out of 6 year of CL football doesn't even get a phone call and no name who put and then saved Wigan from relegation does..Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
