Rodgers and LVH could be an interesting combo, lots of experience and player pulling power with LVH and Rodgers looks like he plays football the right way.

Obviously a gamble but there are few certs in football management. Hope if it does happen he's given a fair crack of the whip

Some of the comments on here are laughable, manager does t come from a top team therefore he's not good enough

Ahh **** it you know what 3 of our greatest managers didn't manage top clubs bfore they came to Liverpool. We promtoted the King to player manager, Shanks came from Preston, Paisley and Fagan were both promoted as was Roy evans. All turned out to be class.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think i was hinting at the possibilty of dog balls or arse in the burger.

This has been said countless times before.

Shankly came here when we were in Division 2 and continually messed about by chairmen. Completely different set of circumstances now.

Paisley, Fagan, Dalglish and Evans, all internal appointments understood the philosophy of the club having seen what was done everyday, so the transition was smooth.

And don't forget that we were run by football men back then. Now we are not, and likely to be getting advice from people who cannot be held accountable for their advice.

I prefer Rodgers over Martinez. It doesn't say much but I've been impressed with Swansea, something I can't say about Wigan.

I prefer the old scouse version: "Teeth like a row of bombed ****houses"

you could promote an assistant coach to manager [barca] but you wouldnt want to bring an inexperienced coach to a new club with a group of players he doesnt know.
thats why a DoF, someone with the experience and balls, like LVG, could well make it work for us.
