Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

          18 months as per Kenny.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Looks like it's all true then as The Echo claim he has left his job at Swansea.

He does have experience of winning the Championship though

They want to get a high draft pick next season.

                        Relegation? I don't think so ...

If he does well, we will be the strongest favorites for the 6th spot ...

I'm going with a low decibel, reserved woohoo. Talking with a red mate in work and we both agree that there is something very impressive about Rodgers just as a man.He has an air of authority. I don't think it'll be difficuly for him to get the players' respect.

In retrospect, Hodgson has none of the managerial qualities that Rodgers has - personality, authority, a desire to learn and improve from great teams and coaches, a progressive and exciting football philosophy. Of course Rodgers has none of Hodgson's qualities - 35 years of acting the cunt.

I'm fully behind Rodgers and will be delighted to give him until Christmas before I start baying for his blood.

It is a bold appointment by FSG. Lets hope they know what they are doing. I must confess I know very little about Rodgers, and I suppose maybe that is a good thing. I am sure he will do his best to impress us.

Personally I think its a shocking appointment, its a hell of a punt for our club to take, considering he was sacked as Reading Manager, and has only 1 year in the EPL. Surprised it was a 3 year contract, it boarders on the top brass being not quite so sure either, and see it as a short term work in progress, rather than the 5 year plan people like AVB have spoken about.

I know he has a footballing philosophy, but what concerns me more will be the quality of the players we will sign, this will be cruicial. I know we wont be able to attract really big names, with the lack of champions football, but are players going to want to come to play for him of the quality we need? I suppose only time will tell...

I hope it becomes an inspired choice, but if we get a bad start next year, the pressure will mount very very quickly...

LEts get some players signed, lets hammer all our opponents in pre-season, and lets start the new season with a hunger and style we have long craved for...

"How could I justify picking up my pay cheque if I stand here and say the tie is over? It would be just as stupid as saying we're going to walk all over them [in the second leg]. I can always supply silly answers to silly questions...... Yes, the tie is over, but we have to play them anyway."
