Kenny bought him with intentions of bedding him in and playing him quite regularly based on what he showed at Sunderland but some players need either more time to adjust or they are just not good enough.

Time will tell on Hendo but we didn't spend 16m on him and hope he'll deliver over longer period of time.

The expectation was that he will demonstrate great potential from early on and show signs that he can cut it at this level and that hasn't really happened yet.

Perhaps I could have worded it better; I think Henderson was bought with the future in mind and to develop into a first teamer (for want of a better phrase) in a couple of years. I don't think we bought him as a squaddie, I just think he got chucked into the deep end due to the injuries our midfielders had last season.

I think he's shown that great potential, but I understand why some people think he hasn't. I think he was just a young piece in a mis-firing eleven that was low on confidence and under too much (self-inflicted) pressure.

I think the expectations will be low next season and I think with that reduced pressure and a new found freedom, we will see a marked improvement from a fair few players.

He may have a good future, I am reserving judgement on that. However, right now he isn't good enough imo.

I just don't see his movement or passing being anything special right now. He has shown his best play imo, coming on as a sub v United and at rb v Blackburn. Aside from that he is an average cm and and a average rm.

Well, I do agree that my posting style has it's flaws ... Probably too many years spent at RAWK ... I am definitely interested in a good LFC and football discussion, though ...
