          Inevitable I suppose.

Shame as I think he's been a good addition to the coaching team.

Well Clarke knew him from Chelsea days so if he didnt feel he could work with him at Liverpool I am not that arsed.

Don't think there was any room unless he wanted an intangible 'demotion'. Although he was First Team Coach, under Rodgers, he wouldn't be the assistant he was to Kenny.

I read Celtic as a coach somewhere...

                    No surprises really.

Rodgers wants him men to be his assistants and I am not sure that Clarke would want to work for him as he was Jose's assistant while Rodgers was a youth-team coach when both were with Chelsea.

I wish him the best of luck.

                    He deserves that.

Didn't work out in the end for him. Inevitable really that he'd leave.

Good luck to him, it just didn't work out with us.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Liverpool first team coach Steve Clarke leaves club

First team coach Steve Clarke has parted company with Liverpool on "amicable terms", the League Managers' Association (LMA) has confirmed.

Last week Liverpool appointed former Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers as manager in place of the sacked Kenny Dalglish.

Clarke, who was number two to Dalglish, offered his resignation when the Scot was sacked, but the club rejected it.

Rodgers has yet to name a number two, but three of his Swansea backroom staff joined him in the move to Anfield.

Assistant manager Colin Pascoe, performance analyst Chris Davies and head of sports science and medicine Glen Driscoll all followed Rodgers, 39, to Liverpool.

Clarke, 48, was Dalglish's first major appointment in January 2011, arriving at Anfield after coaching spells at Newcastle, Chelsea and West Ham.

The LMA said that Clarke, who played over 400 games for Chelsea during an 11-year career with the Londoners, was now "looking forward to the next challenge in his career".

Maybe, and he seems like a nice guy, but objectively speaking, there is no evidence to suggest he's not been pretty **** tbh.

Why did the LMA release this statement. Never know a non manager to get a statement.

                                Kevin Keen has gone too.

I wonder who's going to lay out the cones in training now?
                                We come not to play.
