Is there anyone here who would prefer Martinez or ****ing RODGERS to Benitez? Seriously?

Benitez would be my first choice, but I don't see it happening. I wouldn't mind Martinez as a second choice - I have some question marks about him but no more than the other realistic candidates, I think he will become a good manager.

This is the thing though mate.

I agree that I think Martinez will go on to be a good manager. **** it, he might even take us up to third place next year.

But Rafa is a world class manager, and if he's backed by FSG like Kenny was then I think he'd turn us into a force. Yet he won't get a look in because Ayre doesn't like him.

How many of us here do business with people on a daily basis who we don't like? A majority of us I would assume. But it's business and everyone wants to succeed in business. You put personal opinions aside.

Why is Benitez not being considered anymore? Just because some rag prints ****e about our club, should we just believe it? Does anyone have any cold hard proof where LFC have made an official statement saying Rafa is not a candidate? Not that I've seen, so this thread is pointless imo.
Furthermore no one knows who the candidates REALLY are - for all we know the next LFC manager may not even be on the poll ffs...

Dont ever forget the best managerial appointments are not the most obvious choices.
It is imperative that every fan gets behind the manager, whoever that may be, including Martinez.
