    Seven years, bloody hell.

What a night. Remember it like yesterday.

    Happy times.

Just got a text from Mcghinty on YNWA

'this time seven years ago you'd drunk a bottle of vodka and were incoherent'

Me and my mate were on the Thameslink express train on our way to Luton ready to get a seriously delayed flight that had cost £700 a ticket. Didn't care either way as we made it for the kick off.

Anyone remember scraped shins in the stadium?

I'm not being negative but I don't honestly think there is. That was the night, the last great European triumph that we'll see for at least another 15 years. I'll be nearly 60 by then

                Fantastic night, I can't believe it's 7 years ago!!
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'm married, 2 kids. Istanbul was the best night of my life bar none.

The date now has kind of mixed feelings for me as I sat with my Dad as he passed away in the early hours of this morning. I don't wish to put a downer on an ace thread. He was 83, suffered from dementure and was in a fair bit of distress when he went. He was the reason I'm a red and he loved footy in general. It was the one thing we could always talk about even right up to the end. RIP DAD

It is hard to believe its 7 years ago isn't it. At HT I was just praying that we could show some pride & keep it presentable & not be laughing stocks. The rest is history as they say.
