Well, for some time nothing was said and I don't remember any criticism being made. The only thing people were commenting on was how much of a tit Whelan was. Ayre has turned some of that needlessly back on us and will have rubbed a few people up the wrong way in the process.

As a club we have no clue on how to deal with the press. This is the second time Ian Ayre has been caught with his foot in the mouth. If he had any sense, he would not have used the comedian comparison. He could have communicated the same message in a much more classy and suave manner. As the CEO of LFC he is expected to have that.

No wonder Suarez and Kenny were fed to the wolves in the Evra saga. Man United won every bout in the press. We simply had no clue, no vision, no strategy on how to handle it and the blame for all of that lies on Ayre.
