Thing is though, if that's what he is, taking the piss out of him isn't really smart, and won't win us any friends, he could have made his point without trying to be clever about it.

    He'll end up apologising imo.

And, from dane, that says a lot.

        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

We come across as very petty from those comments , seriously who are our PR people they should be fired over allowing something like this into the public domain.

I’d like to think that any written statement would have to be approved by our PR people before release, but unless you stick a 30 second delay on this guy how can they stop it?

The press should have zero access to our directors.

Oh dear this is really bad here is Whelan's response which is professional and dioplomatic

" "My response is a simple one - I wish Liverpool all the very, very best with their new manager," Whelan added. "They have appointed a super lad for the job, a very good manager, and I am very happy for them. We've kept Roberto Martinez, so I wish them luck for next season."

trouble is, this guy is almost acting as a self publicist, wanting to play the big guy and be in the public eye, always ready with a quote for the press. maybe he thinks fsg will like him better for raising the clubs profile... not if he is raising it like this
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Problem is he is not coming off as big but small and petty best thing would of been to make no comment, we gain nothing as a club from this statement and if anything come across as bullies which is not good , cant see JWH and TW been happy with Ayre's statement.

Cant believe we've got in to a position where Dave Whelan has taken the moral high ground.

Ayre didn't need to say this.

Initial reaction was lolz, however in hindsight it was best not to have said anything at all. Very unprofessional from Ayre.
