I think he's still very raw, but he's got a lot of potential. He looks like he's really suited to the English game. He's only in his infancy in career terms.

Agger is actually much bigger than when he signed for us. I have no qualms about him being able to handle himself.

Paletta impressed me last night. He looked solid in aerial challenges, his positional sense was good and he looked comfortable on the ball. His tackling looks to be no-nonsense and I always like players who don't give up on what look to be lost causes. A very good prospect IMO.

That bodycheck though ? Just a tad clumsy.

Alan Hansen was very skinny when he first joined us and never really filled out very much - it didn't do him any harm. Easily the best CB we've had in my lifetime and Agger plays in a very similar manner

Paletta is a great prospect, he had a reasonably good game last night, he will develop into a first rate player IMO

I thought Paletta did ok last night.

He's a typical Argie defender though and likes to put himself about, but all he needed to do was shield the ball towards the end of the first half instead of shoulder-barging the lad. He needs to learn this part of his game!

He's young and still learning so all Rafa needs to do is get the nasty habits out of his game and keep the hardness in it and we'll have a rock-solid defender on our hands.

It is a another lfc forum - most members are those that used to be on the "free" forums on KopTalk. But theres quite a few from here who mingle on their too.

They are a good bunch of people.

i thought paletta had a reasonable good game. yes he made a few rash challenges but the only way to improve is to learn from your mistakes.

He reminds me of a young gabriel heinze.

How many times have we played older more experienced 2nd team players who have looked awefull and disjointed.

If you said thoose 2 had been playing 1st team footy for the last couple of years together you wouldn't think otherwise.

Look the ideal pairing. Paletta looks exactly the player we want, how many times do you need a player to put the boot in, give that bit of passion to turn the crowd and players.
Razzor did it in a **** team.
About time we got what looks like an animal in defence.

As for Agger 1st touch is to go forward. Agger Carra Palleta and Sami, have we ever had veriety and strength in depth?
Its times like these we learn to live again FF
