LFC thoughts with Roque family
Liverpool Football Club was today saddened to hear news that former player Miki Roque has lost his battle with cancer aged 23.
Miki was diagnosed with the disease in March 2011.
The defender was on Liverpool's books between 2005 and 2009 and was part of our FA Youth Cup winning team in 2006.
He made just one substitute appearance for the first team in a Champions League clash with Galatasaray in December 2006.
Everyone at Liverpool Football Club would like to send their thoughts to Miki's family at this sad time.

Bloody hell, that's awful.
Just a kid. I remember reading a while ago how he had an operation to remove a tumor but I didn't know it was cancerous or dangerous.
Poor guy, 23 ffs.

****ing hell!!!!!! R.I.P Miki, so sadI think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06
